• Rosids are a group of flowering plants mostly related by genetics and chemical features.
• However, they have a few anatomical characteristics that make their relationship evident, at least for scientists.
• The nectar gland or nectarines of rosids have a receptacle like shape, to make it easier for insects to land.
• The flowers themselves also tend to have a wide receptacle shape, normally concave or like disks.
• The petals are al free and never fuse.
• Finally, most rosids organize their flowers in cycles, or groups of three growing from the same sprout.
